Natural gas has no smell on its own but your local distribution company adds an odorant to the gas that produces an odor similar to rotten eggs.
What should I do if I smell a gas odor?
LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY. Call your local gas provider at 901-877-6535 or call 9-1-1 from a phone away from the building. Never turn on or off switches or use flashlights or phones in presence of the gas smell. An electrical spark could ignite the gas, causing an explosion.

When are gas bills due?
We have 1 billing cycle for all customers. Gas bills are due on the 10th of each month. A 10% penalty will be added to all accounts not paid in full on the 11th. To avoid penalty when mailing your bill, your payment must received by the 10th of the month. If you are using a bill pay service, please allow 5 to 7 working days for us to receive your payment. Failure to receive bill DOES NOT relieve customer of payment and penalty.
When are services disconnected (turned off) for non-payment?
Customers have 10 grace days after due date to pay their bill. If payment is not received by the 20th of the month, gas service will be disconnected on the first working day after the 20th. Delinquent customers may receive one (1) automated courtesy call prior to the 20th. Please keep your phone number updated with us.

Customers who are turned off for non-payment will have to pay a reconnect fee of $50.00 (if reconnected within 30 days). If reconnected after 30 days, the reconnect fee is $100.00. If you have been locked off more than once you will also have to pay an additional deposit of $50.00, all additional deposits must be paid by cash.
What do I need to do to have gas turned on or transferred to my name?
Customers must complete a gas application and pay a deposit of $175.00 (or current deposit), this must be paid by cash or check, and a turn-on/transfer fee of $25.00. This can be done in-person at our office or we can fax/e-mail an application to you.
What is the cost to have a gas service ran to my home?
